Welcome to the New Cornerstone Science Laboratory on Multiphase Flow and Turbulence!

Our group investigates a wide spectrum of phenomena within the field of fluid mechanics, encompassing different scales from nano-scale fluid mechanics and interfacial flows to large-scale turbulence, which includes the study of phase transitions. In the realm of nano-scale flows, our ongoing research focuses on nanobubbles and nanodroplets, exploring their practical applications in cavitations and heat transfer. In the domain of interfacial flows, we are actively engaged in the study of processes such as evaporation, boiling, and condensation of fluids. As for large-scale turbulence, our current projects are centered on turbulent flows under extreme conditions, which encompass supergravity effects, flows involving particles, drops, bubbles, and phase transitions.
